HEINZ, CAROL - Carol Mae (nee Jackson) Heinz passed away peacefully on her 92nd birthday, December 24, 2011. Born and raised in St. John, Carol immigrated to Bloomfield, N.J. in 1943; relocated to Upper Montclair, N.J. in 1950; retired to Brandermill, Midlothian, Va. in 1981; and relocated to Chesterfield Va. in 2008. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1954 and worked as a purchasing clerk for W. S. Kirkpatrick, Co., Inc. of Fairfield, N.J. until her retirement in 1981. Carol was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Edward Louis Heinz; her parents, Frederick and Jennie Jackson; her three brothers, Frederick, Ralph, and Leonard Jackson; and her sister Mavis Jackson Campbell. She is survived by her children Edward “Ted” Heinz (Zita) of Bridgewater, N.J., Clifford “Kip” Heinz (Catherine) of Chesterfield, Va., Deborah Maxwell (Terence) of Chesterfield, Va., Craig Heinz (Evelyn) of Cary, N.C., and Gretchen Heinz of Medford, N.J.; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and eight nephews. Dedicated to family, friends, church, and community, Carol was a reserved but loving person who led a very active and fulfilling life. She will be missed and remembered by many.
