DEFAZIO, DOUGLAS -The death of Douglas Nicholas Defazio, age 84, husband of the late Pauline (Armstrong) Defazio, of Springfield, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on January 14, 2012. He was born on January 17, 1927, in Saint John, NB, the son of the late Nicholas and Madeline (Boucher) Defazio. Doug is survived by his son Mike and wife Judy of Saint John; daughters-in-law Bev and Peggy Defazio; grandchildren Tina and Lloyd Raiche, Joe and Angela Defazio, Tammy (Mike) MacDonald, Dwayne and Laurie Defazio, Tracy and Troy Miller, Susan and Allan Thibodeau and Troy Defazio; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers Gerald, Raymond, Gordon, Kenny, Gary and Nicky; sisters Shirley Lester, Laura Michaud, Linda Defazio and Madeline Boudreau; special friend Rowena Brown; several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law and friends. He was predeceased by sons Wayne, Steve and Joseph; brothers Daniel and Ernest; sister Jessie Desruisseau.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visitation from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm., on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Rob Marsh, will be held at Sherwood’s Chapel at 1:00 pm,, on Thursday, January 19, 2012.
