Unexpectedly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, January 13, 2012 of Mr. John O’Connor of Charlottetown and formerly of Ennis, County Clare, Ireland in his 76th year.
Predeceased by his first wife Ann (nee Reidy). Beloved husband and best friend of Beverly MacDonald-O’Connor (nee Perry) and dear father of Ann MacPherson, Linda (Charlie) MacDonald and Louise O’Connor. Loving grampie of Kathleen MacDonald and Ryan MacPherson, and loving step-grampie of Jessie Anne MacDonald.. John is also lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters Mary, James, Evelyn, Patrick, Gerard, William, Eileen, Stephanie, Geraldine and their families; stepsons Christopher (Lori) and Jeffrey (Jen) MacDonald; mother and father-in-law Una and Don Lamont. He was also predeceased by his parents Jack and Mary O’Connor; his sisters Rose and Dolores; and brothers Eamonn and Louis.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Wednesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
