Mary Frances Stuart (nee Salthammer) passed away on January 14, 2012, at Pioneer Lodge with her family at her side. Mom was born March 23, 1921, on the family farm near Vantage. After her retirement from Valley View, mom enjoyed time with her family, travelling, bowling, dancing and playing cards. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Ruth Pattie, daughters Maxine (George) Stinka, Muriel Wood, Donna (Brock) Epps, and Dorothy (Sandy) Forsyth; grandchildren Wende, Heather, Glen, Doug (Lynn), Allison, Tyler, David and Megan; and, great-granddaughter Kate Wood, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Gordon, son Earl, sisters Helen (Andy) Anderson, Anne (John) Sapergia, brother Carl (Audrey) and brothers-in-law Mitch Pattie, Max (Hilda) Stuart, and sister-in-law Verna Matthews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Pioneer Lodge for their care and support and especially Deb Stevens for her extra efforts and loving care. A Celebration of Mom's life will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend John Carley officiating. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. For those so wishing, donations may be made to a charity of choice. In living memory of Mary, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
