Peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, January 26, 2012 of Mr. Eugene Poirier of Charlottetown and formerly of Cheticamp, N.S. age 67 years.
Beloved husband of Bernadette (McQuaid) Poirier and dear father of Glen (Wendi) Poirier, and Jeannie (Allan) Mundle. Loving grandfather of Tye, Cole, Luke, and Shay Poirier.
Eugene is also survived by his brothers Michael Poirier, Andy (Shirley) Poirier, Charlie Poirier, his sisters Julia Poirier and Gemma Aucoin.
He was predeceased by his parents Francois and Eugenie Poirier, his sisters and brothers Lucy, Marylis, Theresa, Pat and Alphonse.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Monday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m.
Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday 4 to 6 p.m.
