MARTIN, ANNE T. - 1946 - 2012 - Anne T. Martin, 65, of Mount St Joseph Nursing Home, formerly of 10 Queen St Miramichi, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. She was the daughter of the late John D. (Jack) and Viola (Carter) Martin. Anne graduated from ST Thomas University with an Arts degree, followed by a Law degree from University of N.B. Anne practiced law at Barry Spalding in Saint John, and later worked at NBCC Miramichi in administration. Anne served on several boards in the community including Miramichi Transition House, Miramichi Physically Disabled and Miramichi Accessible Transit Commission & was appointed to the Premiers Council for the Disabled. Anne was a lifelong member of St Michael’s Parish. Anne is survived by brothers John (Mary) of Saint John, George (Debbie) of Miramichi, and sisters; Margaret Dealy, Mary Kingston (Sandy) and Cathy Martin all of Miramichi, and several nieces and nephews.
Anne Martin is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 2 to and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10 am from St Michael’s Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to the memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated.
