WILKINS, GERTRUDE ALBERTA (NEE SHERWOOD) - Gertrude Alberta Wilkins
entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, February 3rd, 2012. Born in Hammondvale, N.B to Charles and Inez Sherwood (nee Mallory). Beloved wife of the late Ira Wilkins and cherished mother of Terry Wilkins of Brockville and Barbara Wilkins-Gazey (Robert) of Toronto. Fondly remembered by her granddaughter Tara; brothers-in-law George Wilkins and Bob Lake; sisters-in-law Nina Sherwood and Laura Wilkins and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandson Christopher; her sisters Cora McGivery, Nida Scott, Lena Lake and Bertha Kilpatrick and by her brothers Lloyd, Ralph, George, Robert and Charles Sherwood.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Monday from 6 to 8 pm. A service in celebration of Gertrude's life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11 am followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland.
