The death occurred at the Community Hospital, O’Leary on Monday Feb. 6, 2012 of Cecil Doucette, Lady Slipper Villa, O’Leary aged 77 years. Cecil was born in Skinners Pond on June 5, 1934, the son of the late Walter and Mae (DesRoches) Doucette. Loving father of Launa (Audie) Murphy, St. Lawrence; Owen Doucette, Barrie, Ont.; Shane (Allan) Jeddore, N.S.; Cindy (Rick) Knuth, Mount Albert, Ont.; Baun (Sharon) Doucette, Orr Lake, Ont. and Shantel (Keith) Dunn, Stoney Point, Ont. Dear grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Fred (Linda) Skinners Pond; Marie Perry (companion Gerald Gaudet), Peterville; Eugene (Janet), Courtland, Ont.; Evelyn (LeRoy) Arsenault, Skinners Pond; Carl (Helen), Skinners Pond; Danny (Karen) and Connie (LeRoy) Pitre both of Charlottetown and LeRoy, Pleasant View. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Mae and the mother of his six children Violet nee Doucette. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd. for visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Wednesday Feb. 8, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
