It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jessica Glencross, known to family as Granny Gubbs, after a short illness in Plymouth UK. Jessica was predeceased by her husband John in 1979.
Jessica lived most of her life in Torquay Devon, and Liskeard Cornwall UK, where she raised her family.
She came to Canada in the early 1990s to be with her daughter. She enjoyed three happy years in Gibsons where she delighted many with her passion for and knowledge of flowers and gardening.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Jackie Janota-Bzowska (Jurek), son Jonathan Glencross (Ali) of Gibsons BC, grandchildren Matthew Glencross (Monika) of Cornwall, and Kasha Janota-Bzowska of Gibsons. Also left are her siblings Monica Powell of Bellingham Wa., Mick Powell (Barbara) of Miskin Wales, Kath Conolly (Bill) of Burnaby BC, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families in Canada and the UK.
A celebration of Jessica’s life will be held by family and friends in Cornwall UK.
