Evelyn Hicks

HICKS, EVELYN M. - 1926 - 2012 - Evelyn M. Hicks, age 85, of Sackville, passed away suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Born in Cape Tormentine, she was the daughter of the late Dana and Georgina Allen. Evelyn was a member of the Sackville Kinette Club and she worked for Atlantic Wholesalers for 35 years. She enjoyed camping, blue grass and country and western music. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her three sons; Brian (Carolyn), Pine Glen, NB, Stephen and Terry, both of Sackville; two daughters, Jocelyn (Dave Shaw) Hicks, Middle Sackville, and Jennifer (Brent) Smith, Sackville; five grandchildren, Aaron, Dana, Jamie, Seth, and Shannon; four great grandchildren; special nephew, Rodney (Brenda) Allen; as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; and two brothers Sterling and Vance.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300), from where visitation will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 12, at 2 pm at the funeral home. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Evelyn may do so to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
