Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012, Samuel Cooper at his residence in River of Ponds at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his common law partner Pearl; children: Janet (Alex), Kitchener, On, Junior (Kim), Irishtown, Maria (Peter), Georgetown, On, extended family: Viola (Frank), River of Ponds, Verna (Nish), Port Saunders, Linda (Darrel), Saskatchewan, Jeanie (Jon), Gander; grandchildren: John, Jason, Ashley, Billy , AJ, Katie, Nicholas, Tyson, Mason, Daley and Jacob; sisters: Martha and Marion; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: William and Tryphenia Cooper; sister: Janet; brother: Richard. The family will be receiving friends from St. Peter’s Anglican Church in River of Ponds on Thursday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 11th at 2:00 PM with Reverend Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Choix.
