It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bert Darrigan announce his passing at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville Ontario on Thursday January 26, 2012 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Gertie Bailey, daughter Nancy Leerentveld (Ray) and her mother Gertrude and his son Steve Jardine, grandchildren: Nicholas, Courtney, Jacqueline, Carrie, Tracy and six great-grandchildren, brothers: Jim (Virginia) Darrigan, Verdun (Lillian) Darrigan. He was predeceased by parents: Maurice Clayton and Lily Darrigan and brother Arthur. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Saturday February 11, 2012 from the hours of 1-4 p.m. and on Sunday February 12, 2012 from 10-12 a.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour. Funeral Service will follow at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour at 2 p.m. with Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
