Christina “Rene” MacLean-Campbell
We, the family of the late Christina Irene “Rene” MacLean-Campbell would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to our many friends and family for their kindness shown to us during the loss of our mother, step-mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend. We wish to extend a special thank you to all the women of the CWL for the Honour Guard at the Funeral Mass and for the prayers during the visitation. Thank you to Dr. Robert Cohen, Dr. Anne-Francis D’Intino, Dr. Carlyle Chow, Dr. John Ritter, RN Sharon Barron and the VON for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Mom during her courageous battle with cancer. We especially want to thank all of the nurses from the An Cala Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their dedication to end of life care. The kindness shown to our family during a very difficult time will never be forgotten.
To Fr. Abbass, Fr. MacInnis, and Fr. Deveaux the funeral mass was a fitting tribute to a woman who dedicated her life to God and the church. Thank you to Margaret Ann, Elizabeth, Norma and Cecil for beautiful readings at the Funeral Mass. To Jonathan MacInnis, your singing was inspiration and you did exactly what she asked; you “raised the roof”. A special thank you to Chant’s Funeral Home. Lastly, for all those who sent food, made donations to Palliative Care in Rene’s name, sent Sympathy Cards, Mass Cards, and travelled to come and express your sympathy we thank you.
