Card of Thanks
We the family of the late A. Manning MacInnis wish to offer our sincere thanks to everyone who supported our father during his illness and to those who offered our families support in thought, word, prayer and deed over the last short while. It has been a very difficult and emotional time for us and your support very much helped to sustain us. In particular we would like to acknowledge, and thank, the nursing and support staff on the 3rd floor of the Glace Bay General Hospital, the nurses in the I.C.U, Dr. David Ley and Dr. Kevin McNeil, and Rev. Vernon Reid. To those who sent us nourishment, a big thank you. The flowers, cards and phone calls were greatly appreciated. We also very much appreciate the generous gifts made in Dad’s memory. The fact that many of our extended family were able to travel to be with us and celebrate Dad’s life was very gratifying. A special thank you to Dad’s neighbours who were always there to lend a hand; to those who supported him at home – Gerry Tyne, Helena Lawrence, the VON, Homecare and Beulah King; to Ross Bennett who became his right hand; to the Carter and Smith families; to his tenants who became so much more – his friends; and to Tina Hooper for her caring and companionship.
