JEFFREY, Charles Victor – 49, Stellarton went to be with his Lord on February 3, 2012 in the VG Hospital, Halifax. Charles was born on April 20, 1962. He was a son of Nola Jeffrey, Digby and the late Victor Jeffrey. For the past 7 years he worked at Convergys in New Glasgow. He was a member of Grace Community Church, Antigonish, Truro Community Band, St. John Ambulance 701, New Glasgow, Wolfville Legion Dr. C.B. Lumsden Branch # 74. Charles’ first passion was the Navy. Some of the best years of his life were when he was a “Stoker”. His second passion was music and he loved playing his bass and singing for the Lord. Left to mourn are his beloved wife Roxana (nee Sullivan) Jeffrey; sons James, Andrew (AJ) and Benjamin; granddaughter Adalynn, all of Stellarton; birth mother Kathleen Gorman, Newfoundland; birth father Alan Lawrence, Bible Hill; sisters Jacqueline Riley-Turbitt, Windsor, NS, Audrey (Steve) Fultz, Bible Hill; brothers, Jonathan Riley, Digby, Julian Riley, Windsor, NS, William (Sue-Ellen) Lawrence, Maitland, NS and many nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by a sister Jennifer Allen-Hart. There was no visitation. A memorial service was held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Christian Fellowship Church 489 Abercrombie Road New Glasgow with Rev. Harvey Martell officiating. A second memorial service preceded by a Legion Service was held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville with Rev. Donald Robinson officiating. Interment will be in the Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville at a later date. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles memory may be made to the Canadian Blood Services.
