Lamont Christopher Hall - 43, of Centreville, Kings County, passed away as the result of a work-related accident on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Northville, Kings County. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Avard “Monty” Sr. and Margaret (Keddy) Hall, Lakeville. He worked along side his father at Halls Maritime Welding for over 20 years. In 2004 he took over the family business and welcomed his son to the business the following year. He was an avid snowmobiler and especially enjoyed going out with his father and his son. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Lisa Balsor; a daughter, Breanna, Halifax and at home; a son, James, Northville; two sisters, Michelle (Stephen) Elliott, Coldbrook and Janet Hall, Kentville; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation by family request. The funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Elias Mutale officiating. A reception followed in the Billtown Baptist Church. Burial will take place at a later date in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Billtown Baptist Church - Building Fund or the Nova Scotia Lake and Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club.
