HAY, Murray James March 4, 1945 – February 2, 2012. Murray Hay of Dartmouth Nova Scotia passed away on Thursday, February 2. Murray is survived by his dog, Bubba, 2 children, Dani & Murray Jr, 3 stepchildren, Marvella, Pam and Jared, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces, nephews & cousins. Predeceased by wife Carole, parents, Andrew and Tillie, infant brother-Joseph, sisters, Marion, Frankie and Rosemarie & brother-in-laws, Hubert Paul, Emile Therrien, Elmer Parchman. Murray was born in Swift Current, SK. His early years were spent on the family farm at Duncairn Dam. He attended St. Pat’s School, Beatty & Campion College. Murray had over thirty years in the oilpatch in Canada and the US. He returned to Canada from Texas in 2005 and lived in Taber, AB and Swift Current, SK before relocating to Dartmouth in 2009. He passed away at Dartmouth Medical due to congestive heart failure. Cremation in care of Donald Walker Funeral Home, Dartmouth NS. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
