O’DONNELL, Frank Joseph – 53, Truro, passed away suddenly, as the result of a heart attack, on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born August 7, 1958, in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, he was a son of the late Daniel and June (Richardson) O’Donnell. In earlier years, Frank worked at Truro Raceway and was an avid bowler. He worked at Stanfield’s for a number of years and was currently enrolled in the cooking program at Futureworx, Truro. Frank is survived by his sister, Susan (Terry) Wood, Central North River; nephew, Keith Wood, North River; several aunts, uncles and cousins; girlfriend, Rhonda MacKenzie, Londonderry; best buddy, Bruce Cameron. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Myrtle Richardson; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Rena O’Donnell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 3 p.m., today, February 13, 2012, Reverend Cory Somers officiating. Spring interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
