Passed in: SYDNEY, Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed on: February 10th, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the graceful passing of Cameron MacLeod. He was surrounded by his loving family, at home, just as he wanted. Cameron lost his battle with brain cancer at the age of 14.
He fought with dignity and determination never allowing his disease to get the upper hand. Cameron was a special gift and he continued to bring us great joy. During his fight, his spirit remained unbroken. He allowed us to appreciate the little things life has to offer.
Cameron was an honour student at Malcolm Munroe Junior High. He enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Big Pond. Cameron was also an avid video gamer. Among his other pastimes were soccer and hockey where he has made many, many friends. We will forever cherish the many gifts Cameron has brought to us, including his contagious smile : ) and his humour.
Cameron is survived by his mother Kelly; father, Kenneth; brother, Jordan whose generosity overwhelmed us throughout this journey; brother, Mark; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as pets Buddy and Jacob.
He was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
For the love, compassion and caring touches that people have offered us over this period of time, we thank you.
The visitation will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Monday, Feb. 13, 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, Feb. 15 at St. Joseph’s Church at 11 a.m. officiated by Fr. Conrad Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Wish Foundation or Cape Breton Cancer Centre Patient Comfort Fund.
