Peacefully at Saint Vincent Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the age of 78.
Predeceased by his parents James and Mary (nee MacIsaac) Curry and his infant son James.
Dearly beloved husband of Ruth (nee Olsen). Loving father of Karol (Derek), Patrick (Leona), Tom and Anita and stepfather to Kimberly and Douglas. Cherished grandfather of Owen, Tanya, Sheila, Gordon, Tyler, Jasmyn and Marc. Fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren Austin, Kylie and Korey.
Patrick enlisted in the RCAF in 1952 and served in Clinton, Trenton, Germany, France, Montreal, Torbay, Goose Bay and Halifax in the area of electronics and communications. Patrick attained the rank of warrant officer. He was discharged in 1990. He has received the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal, the NATO Medal and the CD with bar.
Funeral Mass will be held at the Annunciation of the Lord Roman Catholic Church, 2414 Ogilvie Rd., Ottawa on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Patrick’s Life will also be held in Port Morien, Cape Breton, on Friday, June 8, 2012.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
