Husband of Myrna (Dykeman) Gay. Father of Melody Gay (Gordon Boothroyd) and Cynthia Gay (Rod Thibideau). Grandfather of Vanessa, Brittany and Chloe. Uncle of Nancy Gay and Debbie McCrady (Allie). Stepfather of Kent Dykeman (Joanne), Kathy Caseley (Greg), Deanna Gaudet (Daniel), Bonnie Vessey, Debbie Murray (Craig), Julie Vessey, Beverley Smith (Darren), Robert Dykeman, Edward Dykeman (Lisa) and Lavilla Dykeman and step-grandfather of Sylvie, Jennifer, Jamie, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Jeremy, Christopher, Brianna, Mitchell, Emma, Luke, Heather, Amber, Cassidy and Megan.
Predeceased by his parents Percy and Gladys (Williams) Gay; his granddaughter Melissa Boothroyd; his step-grandson Andrew Vessey; and brother Jack Gay (Louise).
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday from First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Interment later in York Cemetery.
