It is with sadness that the family of Robert Lawrence Hodson announce his passing at Pine Grove Care Centre in Kamloops, February 1, 2012. Predeceased by his wife Patricia Hodson. He is remembered with love by Dave (Sue) Lawrence, Jo (Mo) Erickson, Donna (Kelly) Hodson, Larry (Amber) Lawrence, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; also his sisters Irene (Henry) Krantz, Avis (Bill) Young, brother Gerald Hodson and numerous nephews and nieces.
Bob was born November 11,1931 in Lac Vert, Saskatchewan. Raised on a farm, Bob started working at an early age. He moved to BC in August 1951. After working various jobs, that took him from Squamish to Dawson Creek, to Fort Nelson, he finally settled in Fort St. John where he started B&H Painting with Harvey Marshall. Over the years he also worked with Bob Baber and Al Olson. Bob continued painting and doing odd jobs even after his retirement.
In 2006, he moved to Kamloops to be closer to family. Bob lived in Pine Grove Care Centre, where he was popular with the staff and will be remembered for his smile and sharp wit. He valued honesty, integrity, hard work, family and love. Bob will be missed.
A Graveside Service to be held later in the summer. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC or a charity of your choice.
