Age 37, passed away Feb. 4 in Squamish while building his future family business.
Andrew was born to Lloyd and Elizabeth Pereman in Oshawa, Ontario on Jan. 31, 1975. After graduating from high school, a road trip to B.C. brought him to Squamish. His love of the outdoors combined with his natural athletic ability made Squamish his perfect home. While in B.C. Andrew took up the trade of carpentry and helped in the construction of several of Whistler’s landmark hotels including the PanPacific lodge and the complete revitalization of Whistler’s Creekside.
In 2004, Andrew married his wife Natalie. They both enjoyed slo-pitch and he also loved hunting and spending time in nature.
His daughters Montana Ryan, 5, and Paisley Mae, 2, and all his friends and family, will forever remember Andrew’s big smile and contagious laugh.
Andrew leaves behind his wife, his daughters, his parents, sister Melissa, parents-in-law Ernie and Donna, brother-in-law Mike and his wife Kim, cousins Ian (Deb) and Cameron McGregor (Mandy), Sarah Briscoe (Randy), Nancy, James, Robert and Kevin Stewart, Teresa Brooks, Sandy Colville, Grant Nottingham (Connie) and James Pereman along with his two dogs Kiya and Lola.
A memorial fund in Andrew’s name to support Montana and Paisley has been created at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Squamish. Memorial fund donations are being accepted in lieu of flowers.
Andrew’s family members wish to thank his many friends who have prayed, sent well wishes and shared food.
A celebration of life is planned for Friday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow in the West Coast Railway Heritage Park CN Roundhouse in Squamish.
