It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernst Schrade on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the age of 76 years old.

Ernst was born in Fravendorf, Germany but called Canada home for the last 45 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Haidi; their children Jean (Scott), Eric (Noel) and grandchildren; Jason (Marilyne) and Dillon, as well his sisters Erika and Doris in Germany.

We would like to thank the staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home for their kindness and compassionate care provided to our Dad (Opa) and our family during his last days.

Ernst will be remembered for his enthusiasm for the outdoors and his love of fishing. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
