It is with sadness that the families of the late Vera Jean Best announce her passing at the A. M. Guy Memorial Hospital, Buchan’s NL at the age of 63 years. Vera is predeceased by her son, Eric Best. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, William; Son, Roger (Rachael) Best of Cold Lake, Alberta; daughter, Gail Best of Darthmouth, N.S.; grandchildren, Ross Best, and Ryan Best; brothers, Stanley (Bonnie) Skeard, David (Jen) Skeard, and Paul (Evangeline) Skeard; as well as a number of nieces nephews relative and friends. Public visitation took place Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm from The Millertown Community Church, Millertown, NL. The funeral service took place Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Ken Penney officiating. The interment followed at the Millertown Community Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Cancer Society.
