HIGGINS, WILLARD SR. - Willard Higgins Sr. of Anfield passed away at the Grand Falls General Hospital on February 15, 2012. Born in Anfield on May 10, 1933, he was the last surviving child of the late Wilbert and Nellie Higgins. Willard is survived by his wife Jeanne Higgins (Beaulieu); his children Ann MacDonald (David) of Westville, NS, Willard Higgins Jr. of Plaster Rock, James Higgins (Jaye) of Linton Corner; granddaughters Jessica Higgins, Jo-Lynn Higgins, and Chantal Francoeur. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Albert, Henry, Gordon, and John Higgins and his sisters Flora McInnis, Annie Sprague and Kathleen Spraque.
Resting at the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock with visitation on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2 pm from St. George's Anglican Church, Plaster Rock. Rev. Amanda Longmoore officiating. Interment will be in the Anfield Anglican Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
