Hazel Roddam
Hazel Helen Kathleen (Richard) Roddam, 88 of Pictou, passed away February 14, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Hazel was born June 9th, 1923 in West Dublin, Lunenburg County, NS, the daughter of the late Captain Frederick Z. Richard and Jessie Mae (Wolfe).
Hazel was an active member of St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, singing in the church choir for over 60 years. She loved Pictou, her family, and cherished friends. She was a faithful and loving wife and mother, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Roddam (Charles Webb) of Wolfville; son, The Rev’d. Dr. John Roddam (Holly) of Halifax; grandchildren: Andrew, Nicholas, Lori, Rebekah, and Chris; great-grandchildren: Mikayla, James, and Dylan; sister, Ann Arnold of Kelowna, BC.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Keith E.W. Roddam, Q.C.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 19th at 3 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, with The Rev’d. Bill White officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, NS or a charity of choice.
She was cared for diligently by the staff at the Aberdeen Hospital Emergency Department and ICU in New Glasgow.
