LeBLANC, ODETTE - Odette LeBlanc, 57, wife of Alfred LeBlanc, of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Moncton, August 17, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Léon and Olive (LeBlanc) Frenette. She was a former Maternity R.N. nurse at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. She also worked at the Shediac Regional Medical Center until 1984. She loved being involved with various organization and schools including Père Edgar T. LeBlanc school and the local L.-J.-Rhigh school where she devoted her time and love with the students.In 2008, Odette was named Tree Keeper with the Dr. Georges- L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation, a role she proudly accepted. Odette will be sadly missed by her loving husband Alfred LeBlanc of 37 years; one son Mathieu (Lisa) of Shediac; one daughter Julie LeBlanc of Moncton; three sisters; Estelle Frenette of Moncton, Léone Payne (Keith) of Cornerbrook, Nfld. and FernandeDoucet (Len) of Dieppe; one brother Claude Frenette (Thérèse) of Shediac; one granddaughter Chlodie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. ONLY. The funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at St-Henri R.C. Church, Barachois. In memory of Odette, a donation to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Tree of Hope) would be appreciated.
