Paul "Pony" Clark
Clark, Paul “Pony” 40, of Earltown, passed away at home on February 14, 2012. Born in Truro, he was a son of Wayne Clark, Truro and Dianne (Lenny) Spears, Bible Hill. Pony is survived by his wife, Julee MacAfee; his daughters, Molly (age 8) and Emma (age 5); brothers, Jon (Rie), Japan and Jason, Truro; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Marie MacAfee, Bible Hill; sister-in-law, Toni (Jeff),Halifax; as well as his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Since 2005, Pony and Julee have been co-owners/operators of a mink farm in Earltown NS. Many people had the opportunity to meet Pony through his love of sports such as football, rugby, softball and volleyball. However, since becoming a father Pony’s life revolved around his two beautiful daughters. He was a caring, loving, fun, and amazing father who lit up whenever he spoke of his girls; he was often heard saying that they were “his greatest accomplishment”. Pony shared his life with his best friend and wife Julee for 15 years. They shared their passion for farming and built a wonderful world for their daughters in Earltown where Pony finally felt at home. He was a thoughtful passionate man who had the ability to make people feel comfortable and welcome. His intelligence, humour and wit never went unnoticed especially if you were ever fortunate enough to enter into a debate with him. Pony was a wonderful friend, son, brother, husband and father who was far too young, to leave us so soon. His company will be missed by so many people as his presence always brought a smile and a laugh. Molly and Emma will miss their father deeply but will be comforted by the beautiful memories they will hold on to forever. A gathering to celebrate Pony’s life will be held at Roadside Willies Smokehouse and Bar, 27 Jennifer Drive, Bible Hill on Saturday, February 18th from 2 – 4 p.m. On-line condolences may be made at: www.colchestercommunity.com
