Juanita Marie Johnson - 63, of Lakeville, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kentville, she was the daughter of Kathleen (Graves) LeBlanc, Cambridge and the late Edward LeBlanc and “Papa” Bob Maskell, Cambridge. She was retired as a custodian with the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board. She was happiest with her family around her. She enjoyed camping, fishing, baseball, playing her guitar and family barbeques. Juanita was a loving, caring and devoted person who was a hard worker. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Johnson (Tim Koehler), New Ross; Angie Johnson (Tim Hebb) and Kathy (Percy) Creemer, both of Lakeville; a son, Tim (April) Johnson, British Columbia; two step-daughters, Monica (Leon) Brewster, Baxter’s Harbour; Sandra (David) Confiante, Sackville; two step-sons, Eric “Bub” (Chris) Johnson and David (Sue) Johnson, both of Ontario; two sisters, Eva (Bill) Tibert, Cambridge; Linda (Wayne) Marriott, New Minas; four brothers, Gordon (Ethel) and Paul (Barb), both of Cambridge; Terry (Pam), Lakeville; Gerald (Betty), Coldbrook; a sister-in-law, Wanda LeBlanc, Steam Mill; 19 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Johnson; an infant son, Albert; her father, Edward LeBlanc; a sister, Nellie LeBlanc; two brothers, Edward and Timothy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial took place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request.
