LOUNSBURY, HAROLD BENJAMIN - Harold Benjamin Lounsbury, 92, formerly of Glenvale, passed away at his residence, the Jordan Lifecare Centre, on February 15, 2012. Born in Butternut Ridge, he was a son of the late Ernest and Ida (nee Morton) Lounsbury. Harold was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church and the Masonic Steven Lodge No. 37 of Petitcodiac. He was employed with Howatt’s Grocery as well as Lounsbury’s Restaurant for many years. Harold was predeceased by his wife Etta (nee Burgess) Lounsbury in 2011. He is survived by his step-daughter, Barb (John) Harper; his step-daughter-in-law, Marjorie Lounsbury of Petitcodiac; his sister-in-law, Eurilla “Rilla” Lounsbury, all of Petitcodiac; step-grandchildren: Allen (Judy), Peter (Anna), Travis (Tina), Trent (Tamara), Todd (Kate); step-great-grandchildren: Talia, Tea, Alysha, Teagan, Tanner, Joshua, Jessica, Stefania, and Julian; as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents and wife, Harold was predeceased by his step-son, Stanford Lounsbury; his sister, Florence Steeves; and his brothers: Frank, Eldon, Roy and Ernest. Steven Lodge N0. 37 F & AM held a Masonic Tribute Service on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 6:45 pm followed by a time of visitation from 7 to 9 pm; the funeral service was held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rick Thomas presiding, all at Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell St., Petitcodiac. Interment will be held in the First North River Cemetery at a later date.
