Edgar LeBlanc
LeBLANC, EDGAR - 1926 - 2012 - Edgar LeBlanc, 85, of Villa Providence, Shediac, NB and formerly of Dover Rd., Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, February 18th, 2012, at his residence. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Irénée and the late Nathalie (née: LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Mr. LeBlanc had worked for C.N. as a carman/brakeman. He coached minor hockey and baseball, was a lifelong avid Montreal Canadiens fan. He was a past president and a member of the Club d’Age d’Or de Saint-Anselme and Saint-Anselme parish. He is survived by four daughters: Pauline (Reginald) Landry, Ber “Nadine” (Jean) Richard, Denise LeBlanc and Monique (Robert) Johnson all of Dieppe; three sons: Daniel (Karen) of Quispamsis, NB, Bernard (Claudette) and Roland (Kelley) both of Dieppe; the mother of his children, Anita (née: Cormier); one sister, Edna Richard of Dieppe; one brother, Roger (Gisele) of Moncton; 13 grandchildren: Mathieu (Chantal), Nathalie, Luc, Alexandre, Jocelyn, Michael (Patricia), Benjamin, Nickolas, Christopher, Isabel, Denis, Marc and Jasmine; three great grandchildren: Mathieu, Simon and Maci as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Lorraine, Dorilla and baby Maria as well as four brothers: Oscar, Neri and twin babies: Ferdinand and Edgar.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
