
Mary Dunley Nurse
Slipped peacefully away while surrounded with the love of her family and friends. In loving memory of our dear sweet Mom, Nan, G.G., aunt, cousin and friend Mary Dunley (Hunt) Nurse. April 21, 1922 – February 18, 2012.
Predeceased by, but now reunited with her soulmate, husband Charles P. Nurse, son, Gerard as well as her parents Nicholas and Clarice Hunt.
Leaving with fondest of loving memories and a lot of “Joy” in our hearts, are her children: Tom (Sandy), Rick (Marie), Noel (Jackie), Chuck (Marietta), Clarice Maher (Dave), Robert (Cathy), Chris (Debbie), Gary, Kathy Halley (Gerry), Elizabeth Hunt (Calvin), Barbara Cadigan (Ron). Also her 30 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly and remembered by name daily. Many other special relatives and friends including Diane Nurse, Marilyn Hebb, Bernie Manning and adopted family in Logy Bay, Coles, Bridgers and Cadigan; as well as treasured nursing class of ’44 and other G.H. Alumnae, friends from the 166 Royal Newfoundland Regiment, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1, as well as her four-legged furry friend Lucy.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday and Tuesday, February 20th and 21st from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Outer Cove on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend thanks to Dr. Patrick O’Shea, Ron Pomroy, Dr. Michael Hogan, Dr. Angela Bussey, nursing staff and all other medical care workers at the HSC 4 South A as well as 4 North B for your professionalism and care.
