MUNRO, Cameron Dingwall June 20, 1935 - February 18, 2012 Surrounded by his loving family, Cam passed away peacefully on February 18, 2012, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. He will be so sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Gaydha (nee Ashley), his wife of 51 years, his beloved daughters and their husbands, Kelly and Colin, Norma and Randal, Nancy and Patrick, and his precious grandchildren, William, Liam, Richard, Eva, Meredith and Madeleine, all of whom loved him dearly. Cam was predeceased by his twin sister Cairine, his father Bill, his brother Ron and his mother Dorothy. Cam was born in Cabri, Saskatchewan and was raised in Shackleton, Saskatchewan. After graduating high school, he joined the RCMP where his career took him and his family to Manitoba, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. During that time he had the opportunity to be involved in many levels of police work where his dedicated service and leadership were valued and recognized. Following retirement in 1990, he and Gaydha returned to Red Deer, Alberta, where they would enjoy spending time with their family and especially their cherished grandchildren. To those who knew Cam, he was one of a kind and touched many lives. He will be missed by many. A special thank you to Dr. Holmes for his care and attention over the years and especially during these final months. In keeping with Cam's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
