Mona Hunt
The family of the late Mona Hunt, who passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2012 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, would like to give sincere thanks to those who gave us support during our time of grief.
Thank-you to our cherished Grandmother, Viola Renouf, our Uncle Osborne and our four Aunts; Anne, Eileen, Vera & Audrey who gave us love and support during this difficult time. We would like to thank Mr. & Mrs. Donald Roberts, Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Butt, Mr. & Mrs. Ronald White, Mrs. Miley White and Mrs. Theresa Gould for their compassion and the lovely food they prepared. We would also like to thank friends and co-workers; Ms. Helen Hynes, Mrs. Jenny Chaulk and Mrs. Colleen O’Leary for delivering food trays and giving us support.
A special thanks to all of our mother and father’s close friends who attended the Funeral Home and Church Service and for being with us during this difficult time. We would especially like to thank Mrs. Elsie Hoskins and Mrs. Lena Gabriel, our mother’s friends since she was only eighteen and met while working at the Telephone Company in Stephenville. Thank you to our cousin Ms. Rae Miller, close friend Mrs. Darlene Oake for the readings during the Church Service and Ms. Liz Porter who sang the lovely solo. Thank-you to the pallbearers; our cousin Richard Miller, our uncle Glenn Dove, James Meade, Bob Clarke, Brian Roberts and Randy Roberts.
We would like to give our sincere thanks to Dr. Dennis for his support and kindness, who has been our mother’s family doctor for twenty–one years and the many home visits he made to our house. We would also like to thank Dr. Lewis for her medical support during the final stages of our mother’s illness and the nurses and doctors, especially Dr. Smolarkiewicz, at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. Thank–you to the staff at Russell’s Funeral Home and the family and friends who prayed for Mom, spoke to us by phone, e-mailed condolences, gave donations, sent cards and beautiful flowers. We would especially like to thank the friends of both our parents from Port Saunders who contacted us and gave their support. It will always be remembered.
We would also like to thank the Anglican Church Women for the lovely lunch and fellowship provided following the Church Service. A special thanks to Rev. Dawn for the beautiful Service, her many visits with Mom at home and in the hospital, and her compassion and comforting words during this difficult time.
Our mother was a very graceful, loving and caring person who endured many years of sickness. She recovered from Cancer but later was diagnosed with COPD. She also deeply missed our father who passed in 2001. Our Mother and Father will be Forever Loved and Remembered.
Charmaine & Dale (Chris)
