Yvonne graduated George D Lewis High School, Louisbourg in 1981 and attended Nova Scotia Agricultural College. A self taught woman of many talents, Yvonne was equally at home performing mechanical repairs or creating delicious preserves. Yvonne was particularly dedicated to her family. She was an avid gardener, talented seamstress and accomplished quilter until illness prevented her from continuing these passions. She loved chocolate and animals and supported her community through numerous volunteer activities.
Yvonne was fortunate enough to have lived in many different parts of the world including Holy Loch, Scotland; Bangor, Maine; Bear River, N.S.; Norfolk, Virginia; Portland, Oregon and finally Port Angeles, Washington from 1991 until her passing at Crestwood Convalescent Center. Hers was a beautiful life cut too short by MS.
A memorial service celebrating Yvonne’s life will be held at a later date at First United Church in Louisbourg.
