It is with sadness that the family of the Late Elizabeth “Bessie” Carpenter announces her passing at the Carmelite Seniors Home, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL at the age of 89 years. Bessie is predeceased by her husband, John Carpenter; and daughter, Linda; brothers, John, and Jim Clatney; sisters, Margaret Wall, Clara, Flood, Nora Kelley, and Mary Clatney. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories is her daughter, Elaine, son-in-law, John White; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The visitation took place Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service took place Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 2 pm from The Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL with Father Cesar Derit officiating. The interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
