CODE, David William – 60, of Truro/ Lower Sackville passed away on February 21, 2012 in the VG Palliative Care Unit, Halifax.
Born in Ottawa, July 28, 1951, he was the eldest son of Joan Code (Prince), and the late Ronald Code, Halifax, N.S.
For the past eight years, David was the Atlantic Sales Manager with Thermo-Cell in Debert, N.S. Prior to that he worked for Coates Distributors. David was an active member of Edgette Ballroom Dancing and the Newfoundland Club until his illness.
Survived by his mother Joan of Halifax, Life’s Partner Phyllis Mayo (Walsh) of Lower Sackville; daughter Lindsay; sons Ryan and Jason; granddaughters Mackenzie and Alaya; Karen Code (Ribo) Mother of his children, all of Truro, N.S.; brothers Stephen (Kate) Ottawa, and Michael (Michelle) Fredericton; a niece, two nephews and many cousins; and special friends Les Stride (Dawn) and David (Daph) O’Keefe. Truro neighbours Deb and Bernie; Sackville neighbours Lynne, Pat and Andrew. Several dear friends Marie/ Shawn; Margot/ Mike; Sandy/ Sandy; the extended Walsh family in Newfoundland; Phyllis’ daughter Natasha (Raymond) and their sons Raydan and Noah.
Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531 on Friday, February 24 from 10am-12pm, 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held from St. John Vianney on Saturday, February 25 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
