Peacefully at the Community Hospital, O'Leary, with her loving family by her side following a courageous battle with cancer, of Shirley Ann Henderson, beloved wife of Robert Henderson of Alberton, age 62 years. Born on Oct. 23, 1949, she was the daughter of the late William and Marjorie (nee Gillian) Rayner. Lovingly remembered by her son David and his wife Shani and daughter Kelly and her husband Darrell Collicutt. Cherished grandmother to Meaghan, Allison, and Sarah Henderson, Madison and Ryley Collicutt. Dear sister to Elmer (Charlotte) of St. Eleanors, Heber (Doreen) of St. Eleanors, Reva (Barry) MacPhee of Charlottetown, Belle (Fred) McInnis of Charlottetown and Betty (Eddie) Rayner of Kildare. Sister-in-law to Lily (Marvin) Riley of Alberton and Anne (Doug) MacCallum of Brooklyn. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Keith and his wife Barbara.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, March 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday, March 3, from the Greenmount Church of Christ at 2 p.m. with Pastor Randy Thurlow and Rankin MacKinnon officiating. Interment in the Greenmount Church of Christ Cemetery.
