McCONNACHIE, DOROTHY - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Margaret (Bettle) McConnachie of MacDonald’s Corner, NB. Born on June 12, 1920, in Saint John, NB, Dot was the eldest child of the late Judson and Rose Bettle. She is survived by two daughters Sandra and Jim McFarland and Nancy, both of MacDonald’s Corner; son-in-law Bev and Rosemary Chown; grandchildren Jeff (Catherine), Brian (Andrea), Jamie (Fawn), Jennifer and Luke; six great grandchildren Lena, Georgia, Patrick, Gavin, Kainen and Darien; sisters-in-law Iris, Geraldine, Phyllis and Lynn; brothers-in-law George (Pauline) and John Jordan; and many nieces and nephews. Dot was predeceased by Sandy, her loving husband of fifty-eight years; daughters Sheila, Heather and Margaret; brothers Daryl, Charlie, Ken and Doug; her only sister Barb Lorenzie; brother-in-law Bill (Elva); and sister-in-law Mary Jordan.
Dot is resting at the First Cambridge Baptist Church, MacDonald’s Corner, NB, where visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. on Saturday. A service celebrating Dot’s life, conducted by Pastor Aubrey Trail, assisted by Rev. Phillip Penny, will be held from First Cambridge Baptist Church, at 3:00 pm. Sunday, March 4, 2012. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family would appreciate remembrances to the First Cambridge Baptist Church Window Fund or the memorial of the donor’s choice.
