EDWARDS, MARY CATHERINE - At Arbour Heights, Kingston, ON, Mary Catherine (Ives) Edwards, died peacefully at age 87 on February 29, 2012. Born December 31, 1924 in Stayner, ON, daughter of Dr. Ray and Ethel (Bartlett) Ives. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Dr. Kenneth F. Edwards. She is survived by her younger brother, Dr. William Ives of Collingwood, ON, and her four loving children: Catherine Anne MacCosham, Dr. R. Kenneth F. Edwards, Mary Joan Edwards, and Jonathan Edwards. “Mac” was the beloved aunt of nine Ives nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Sandy, David, Michael, Jillian, Judith, Matthew, Edward and Sally Ann. She was the proud grandmother of Megan and Andrew Edwards and Jennifer and Emily MacCosham. She is fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Dr. Marnie McCall, her son-in-laws, Wayne Clifford, Jerson Joaquin and Mark MacCosham, and her second cousin Michael Bartlett and his wife Doreen. Mary had a generous and enthusiastic approach to life, which she embraced fully, making many friends who will miss her very much.
She will be interred at the North Head Cemetery on Grand Manan Island where she summered for more than 45 years. There will be a memorial service held on Grand Manan in August 2012.
