DEBOW, LEONA T. (nee BOWSER - TRITES) - September 19, 1920 - February 29, 2012 - On Wednesday, February 29, 2012, Ms. Leona DeBow of Edmonton, formerly of Moncton, New Brunswick passed away surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her children Derrick (Gail) Trites and Nancy Davey, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brother Vaughn (Minnie), sister June (Dewar), several nieces, nephews and friends. Leona was predeceased by her parents Charles and Elsie (Collins) Bowser, husband Raymond Trites, son Edward, brothers Gerry and Reginald, and sister Doris. Leona was an avid speed skater, having won the Senior Ladies Maritime Speed Skating Championship in 1939.
At Leona's request cremation has taken place and there will not be a service.
