GRIFFIN, Doris Helen – 1920~ 2012. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris Griffin announce her passing at her home in Grand Falls-Windsor on February 25, 2012, at the age of 91. Doris was a member of the Catholic Women's league. Predeceased by her husband Dermot and two sons Christopher and Gerard. Left with fond and loving memories, her son Michael (Diane) of Grand Falls-Windsor and daughters Rosemary of Wood River, IL and Monica (Jim) Sampson of St. John’s, N.L. Also leaving to mourn, daughters-in-law Vera and Viola Griffin, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Father William Hearn will conduct the funeral service at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Interment will be at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Monica Sampson (daughter) Jim Sampson (son-in-law) Brian, Patrick, and Christopher Griffin (all grandsons) and Brian Cooke (grandson-in-law).
