MITTON, MARGARET M. - Margaret M. Mitton, 89, of McNair Manor and formerly of Pine Glen Road, Riverview, with loving family members at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday evening, March 2, 2012. Born in Minto, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Hachey) Gauthier. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister. In past years, she enjoyed bowling at Parklanes Bowling Centre,Riverview and Fairlanes Bowling Centre, Moncton, playing cards (Auction 45s) and was an avid bingo player. Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tending to her house plants, watching TV game shows, socializing with her friends and spending precious time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, Carolyn Garland (George) of Lakeville, Shirley Conway (Eugene Mitton) of Riverview, Debbie Ferguson (Wendell) of Riverview and Pam LeBlanc (Arcade) of East Memramcook; 20 precious grandchildren; 23 cherished great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Theresa Jonah of Minto; sister in law, Elsie Gauthier of Riverview; brother in law, Doug Murphy of Hamilton, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Orey Mitton (1997); sons, Dwane (1990), Ronald (2011); son in law, Wayne (1992); granddaughter, Sylvia; brothers, Raymond, George, Martin and Leo; sisters, Virginie and Beatrice; infant sister, Theresa.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday March 7, 2012 at 11:00am with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
