Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, March 4th, 2012, Greta Lavinia (Bussey) Jones, aged 84 years, of St. John’s, formerly of Little Bay Islands. Predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Evelyn (Morgan) Bussey of Port-de-Grave, husband, George R. Jones and infant son Alton Jones, brother Alton Bussey, sister Joan Baker, brother-in-law Frank Morris. Leaving to mourn her son Bruce (Bernadette), Grandsons Stuart and Matthew and their mother Dianne Jones, sister Dot (Clarence) Campbell, Little Sands, P.E.I.; sisters-in-law Florence Bussey, St. John’s; Gwen Morris, Hr. Grace and Marie (Wilbert) Weir, Little Bay Islands, Brother-in-law Foster Baker, Jeddore, N.S. as well as a large number of nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home at 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday, March 5th from 10am -12 noon, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Memorial Service will take place at Barrett’s Chapel on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. Inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Columbarium, Forest Road. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daffodil Place. A reception to celebrate the life of Greta Jones, for family and friends, will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home following the Inurnment.
