ROSE GOODWIN

Rose Elizabeth Goodwin of Moose Jaw, formerly of Carberry, Manitoba passed away peacefully on March 4, 2012 at the age of 91. Rose was born Aug. 27, 1920 to Charles and Maude North and grew up on the farm near Pratt, MB. She married Gilbert Goodwin on November 1, 1941 and they had three children, Warren, Judy and Ken. They lived in Flin Flon, MB from 1941 till 1978 when they retired to Carberry, MB. They enjoyed travelling and square dancing, travelling to England, Europe and Australia as well as all over the States and Canada. Rose was also active in several organizations: the Scouts, Rebecca Lodge, Home and School and UCW. She was also very active with TOPS and Weight Watchers. Gilbert passed away Sept 13, 1993 and in 1995, Rose moved to Moose Jaw to be closer to her daughter. Rose is predeceased by parents, her brothers Horace and David and sister-in-law Mable. She will be sadly missed by her children: son, Warren (Sok Heng) and his children, sons, Rob, Mark (Suzanne), their children Jack and Claire, daughters, Dianna, Sara, son Larry, and step-daughters, Mealea and Morakot; daughter Judy (Glenn) and their children Gerry (Loretta,) Terri (Tony Matthews), Darek and his children Kurtis & Emily; son Ken (fiancé Inge) and his children Scott & Haley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held at a later date in Carberry, Manitoba. For those so wishing, memorial donations can be made to Pioneer Lodge, 1000 Albert St., Moose Jaw, SK.
