Rita Dujay, age 83, of Joggins, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, March 5, 2012.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Cormier) St. Peters.
Rita worked at the Joggins Post Office, assisting her husband the post master Pee Wee Dujay. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, Joggins. She loved music and dancing, playing Bingo, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to her weekly trips "to town" when she could spend time with her good friend Mildred Brown.
She will be sadly missed by her son Joseph (June) St. Peters, River Hebert; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister Ruby (Francis) Perry, Moncton.
She was predeceased by her husband Cornelius "Pee Wee" Dujay; brothers Freddie and Bernard and sisters Patricia Legere and Mamie Jury .
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert (902-251-2873). There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 1 pm, Father Boudreau officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Cemetery in the spring.
