Peacefully at the Community Hospital, O'Leary, with his family by his side, on Monday, March 5, 2012, of Russell Stewart Williams, beloved husband to Nancy (nee Coughlin) Williams of Elmsdale, in his 68th year. Born in Elmsdale on March 17, 1944, he was the son of the late David A. and Alecia (nee Stewart) Williams. Loving father and grandfather to Kirk, his wife Karla and their children Hailey and Gavin of Cascumpec; Kyle, his son Taylor of Huntley; Korie, his wife Melissa and their children Dylan, Dakota, and Sophie of Elmsdale. Dear brother to Florence (Leith) Clark of Summerside; Kathleen Williams of Elmsdale; Margaret (late Howard) Adams of Elmsdale; Alton Williams of Elmsdale; Donald (Marion) Williams of Halifax; and Anna (Raeburn) Oliver of Huntley. Brother-in-law to Gracie Williams of Crapaud; Shirley (Terry) Ahearn of Mississauga, Ont.; Bill (Gloria) Coughlin of Fortune Cove; Dorothy (Allan) Gaudet of St. Eleanors; Lea (Cheryl) Coughlin of St. Eleanors; and Marilyn Coughlin of Fortune Cove. He was predeceased by his grandson Kylar Williams in March 2011; a brother Roy; his father and mother-in-law George and Jean Coughlin; and by his brother-in-law Roger Coughlin. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, at 2 p.m., Rev. Robert Lockhart officiating. Interment in the Elmsdale United Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to a scholarship fund in carpentry for a Westisle student, to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Elmsdale United Church Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
