Norman Davidson
DAVIDSON, NORMAN - Mr. Norman Clifford Davidson passed away suddenly at this home in Church River, NB, on Tuesday March 6, 2012. Born on June 7, 1934 in Church River, NB, he was the son of Wesley Peter and Emma Jane (Weeks) Davidson. He was a retired farmer and fisherman, as well as a friend to all. He always enjoyed friends and family dropping in for a visit, for he always had a story to tell. Norman was blessed with a great memory for local and family history. He is survived by one sister, Laura of Miscou Island and one brother, George of Church River, who was his friend and helper. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Alice, Mildred, Ruby, Mamie and Florence; infant sister Evelyn; brothers William, Douglas, Robert, Jack, Warren and Donald.
Norman rested at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, with visitation on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11am until the time of the funeral at 1pm in Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lori Sheffield-Bowles officiating. Organist Stanley MacDonald led the congregation in “Shall We Gather at the River” and “Abide with Me”. Soloist Stanley MacDonald rendered “In the Garden”. A reading was by Jennifer Bschaden. Words of remembrance were by nieces, Lisa Davidson and Wendy Peacock. Burial will be in Burnt Church Union Cemetery in the spring. In Norman’s memory, donations made to Burnt Church Union Cemetery or Church River Historical Society would be appreciated. Active Pallbearers were: Steven Davidson, Dale Davidson, Timo Bschaden, John Fleming, Gary Potter and Robert Potter.
