She fought a brave battle with metastasis lung cancer over the past 18 months, and leaves behind her common-law spouse Greg, and daughters Jenessa, 8, and Jessica, 21, who will miss her terribly as she was a great mom; also her parents, ex-husband Rick Murphy, brother Jason and Gram, Betty Weston, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Bonnie left this area as a teenager and spent all of her adult life working in the Toronto suburbs in the heavy-duty truck industry. She was predeceased by a sister in infancy, Loretta, and her step-dad Herman Gavel in 2007. Visitation and service was held at Lee Funeral Home, Streetsville on Feb. 29 and March 1, 2012, with her mny colleagues in the heavy-duty industry, friends, neighbours and family in attendance. Cremation has taken place and some ashes, as per request, will be buried in Gavelton where her heart did lie. A trust fund for her daughters has been set up to support their future education by her two dear friends Leeanne Clifford and Karen Thomas. Contributions can be made at any branch of the Bank of Montreal - Acc. # 233520013991-972. Leeanne can be reached via email leeanneclifford@hotmail.ca and online condolences can be made at Lee Funeral Home, Streetsville (Mississauga, Ontario). Thanks from her family for all the support received during this difficult time. We will be looking to the north star as you watch over us and especially as you continue to guide and comfort your beloved brother Jason. Rest in peace.

Cancer is so limited. It cannot cripple love. It cannot shatter hope. It cannot corrode faith. It cannot eat away peace. It cannot destroy confidence. It cannot kill friendship. It cannot shut out memories. It cannot silence courage. It cannot invade the soul. It cannot reduce eternal life. It cannot quench the spirit. It cannot lessen the power of resurrection.
